2011 standards for sustainable construction and energy efficiency

Green Light, the Senate, the bill S.2322 containing Provisions for the fulfillment of obligations deriving from Italy's membership of the European Communities - Community Law 2010, a measure which, in its annexes, the implementation of certain rules Community sustainable construction and energy efficiency, in particular, Directive 2010/31/EU, aimed at promoting the construction of buildings "nearly zero energy".

The directive - which at this point must pass the scrutiny of the House - provides that the Member States of the European Union should work to promote the improvement of energy performance of buildings and setting the deadline of December 21, 2020 By this date, each State must make sure that the new buildings are very high energy performance, with a very low energy requirements or almost zero (...) covered a very significant extent by energy from renewable sources, including energy from renewable sources produced on-site or in the distance "(for public buildings, the deadline is brought forward by two years, ie 31 December 2018).

The attention to the degree of sustainability of the building has also been extended to the market for the purposes of transparency towards the buyers who will be in a position to know the classification of a building: it was predicted that the energy performance indicator mentioned on the attestation building or building unit, must be reported in all the real estate listings.

What European legislation will make it compulsory by 2020 is technologically feasible and, in some cases, already passed: an example is located in Berlin, where at number 87 of Fasanenstrasse is taking off a trial, which will consist in placing an average family of four people in one Energie-Haus Plus, a house can produce twice the energy it consumes. The building, made of recyclable materials, has the external facades coated with photovoltaic panels and thanks to a plant with a geothermal pump heating and it is possible to produce more electricity. With the accumulated surplus, it will be possible to provide serenely to fill up the electric car that the family will receive provided.

But a house environmentally friendly, as well as energy efficient, it can also esserebiodegradabile: are the homes of so Kovcheg, a Russian village surrounded by a forest, built with natural materials that ensure thermal equilibrium, such as wood, straw, clay, hemp and linen where in school they teach the rules for the collection of waste and the inhabitants engage in green activities, such as beekeeping and growing organic gardens.

In Italy, among the houses of the future, would be quite at home in the form of egg, or rather Kasauovo: This is the design for a prefabricated living module designed with energy efficiency objectives, recovery and recycling of water, hygrometric comfort, design versatility, safety seismic, low cost of ownership and accomplishment. Among the technical and design solutions, the "shell" exterior insulation, a double steel member that functions as a ventilated wall or an integrated wind and solar energy recovery in coverage, a system of wastewater recovery and those meteoric.
