Decree Grow Italy 2012: liberalization of the gas market

The main novelty introduced by Decree "Grow Italy" in the energy sector concerns the separation between the distribution of gas, ENI and Snam Rete Gas, the company holding the distribution network, which operates 37,000 km of pipes, divided into the National Network Gas Pipeline (8800 km) and the Regional Transport Network (22600 km.) [1]. The government's objective is to ensure conditions for access to the gas transmission infrastructure fully competitive, so as to allow greater freedom of access to new entrants.

In the decree, however, was only added to the obligation of separation of control of distribution infrastructure held by the holding company Snam, which includes the distribution Italgas, the Sogit, in charge of the storage of natural gas and regasification plant Panigaglia by the company management, Enel. The manner in which the separation will take place will be examined and fixed in a future decree of the President of the Council within 6 months.

Renewable energy: mini and micro wind affordable even for private

Not only photovoltaics. Here is how to invest in renewable energy and in a convenient manner different from usual.

Through the Fifth Energy Bill running out, who wants to invest in renewable energy is looking for alternatives than usual photovoltaics. A good opportunity comes from the mini and micro-wind, that despite the cuts to tariffs still offer a good balance between cost and performance.

The Ministerial Decree of 6 July 2012 contains the provisions on incentives for renewable energy is not solar.

The heat metering coupled with thermo regulating climate provides significant savings on monthly heating costs

In scenarios heavily urbanized opportunities to pursue and achieve sustainable and technological choices aimed at energy saving are very rare. Anyone who lives in an apartment building knows how difficult it is to reach unanimous approval for the construction of any work, let alone when it comes to renewable energy!

An interesting solution and easily walked there: heat metering coupled with thermo-regulating climate because it guarantees a savings of 10-30% on fuel used for heating in winter and an improvement in the level of comfort.

Concrete example photovoltaic plant productivity: analysis of cost and convenience from installation to decommissioning

The photovoltaic systems in the service of domestic appliances, can provide enough electricity during the year to meet the entire demand of the home, thanks to the signing of an invention in trade regime in place with the GSE (National Manager of Electrical Services ), which allows the network to assign the excess energy produced by the plant during the sunniest hours of the day to pick it up during the hours in which the plant has reduced productivity or overnight.

The evaluation of the power to be installed is made according to the consumption of the user, detectable by the electric bill, and according to the characteristics of the surface on which the plant must be installed.

Lighting Guide of the garden: lighting to choose, installation and safety tips

One of the pleasures most beautiful in the summer evenings, is being able to fit comfortably in your own garden, either alone or, even better, in the company of friends, to enjoy the fresh hours after the heat of the grueling days of July and of August. The darkness of the evening, however, can severely limit the enjoyment, if you do not have in the garden of an appropriate lighting system.

Lighting has a stunning psychological effect, allowing us to enjoy the garden in the late evening hours and making us look slightly cooler than those evenings spent at home instead would be very muggy.

Eco-friendly Lighting Design: definition, standards, types of low energy light bulbs

What role do designers to reduce light pollution? Seen that the effects of entries bright pollutants depend on the direction of emission of the lighting fixtures and the way that they have the different surfaces to distribute their light in various directions, it is essential to minimize possible the emission upward of the apparatus, to reduce the effect of the input light into the atmosphere. A conscientious design should also maximize the fraction of the light emitted from the plant that is actually used to illuminate the surface (called "utilance") so as to minimize leakage of light in the surrounding areas.

This is actually achievable through careful design and careful selection of lighting fixtures based on their features and performance, so thanks to careful lighting designs.

Energy efficiency or renewable? What is more convenient?

According to the data of Confartigianato, record increase, + 26, 5% in twelve months. For families the cost of almost € 2,500 a year ..

The recent Plan for Energy Efficiency 2011 of the European Commission, published in March this year, begins extolling the virtues of that "in many respects can be considered the major source of energy in Europe. Given these premises, it is amazing to learn, always in the same document of the European Commission, which, at the current rate, only half of that goal will be achieved. Much worse than expected for the target percentage identical, yes very expensive renewables. Yet, all quantitative studies, regardless of the degree of sophistication, tell us that in terms of cost-effectiveness of energy efficiency and renewable no match.

New frontiers renewable energy: mini hydro

If they are almost archived projects for the construction of large power plants can rely on smaller craft skills throughout the area for the manufacture of machines designed ad hoc to specific sites. The main frontier of expansion are the jumps of water (three meters), aqueducts and irrigation channels: these sources of energy distributed on the territory. "At the same installed capacity and lower surfaces, the mini-hydro plants offer a higher return in energy production with 4500 hours of operation per year on average, higher wind power and solar power." According to the latest data released by Terna, 1270 are structures that are capable of generating up to one megawatt. The small hydropower produces more than 46 TWh of electricity per year in the 27 countries belonging to the EU, and is estimated to reach 54.7 TWh by 2020. Today, the only small hydropower is enough to power more than 13 million households in Europe.

New jobs thanks to renewable energy

The renewable energy sources are not only but stimuli for employment. The predictions made by the European Commission and Greenpeace agree on this point and give a very interesting, with hundreds of thousands of new jobs.

We start from the prospectus Europe. According to the estimates presented in these days by the Deputy Director General, DG Energy of the European Commission, Fabrizio Barbaso, "With a common foreign energy policy we could create new jobs: in the investment industry should create about 800 thousand new jobs in Europe with the policy of renewable 400 thousand, with 2 million energy efficiency policy. " Summing up, leaving 2.4 million taken together, renewables and energy efficiency.

Concentrated Solar Power: overview of the types of systems

Photovoltaics is the most used technology worldwide for the conversion of solar radiation into electricity. Signs of a possible change we have already learned, however, already in 2011, when the sector has accused the first difficulties. And the thermodynamic (Concentrated Solar Power, CSP), however, did boom, with growth of over 160% compared to 2010 in terms of new installed capacity.

This technology is able to convert solar radiation into thermal energy, through a concentrator formed by reflective surfaces which focus the sunlight onto a receiver tube highly absorbent. The set of concentrator and receiver is called the solar collector and, thanks to a handling system, is able to constantly chasing the Sun in its motion across the sky.
