Statistics on Italian property

The Territory Agency has conducted for the second time a comprehensive analysis of the real estate in our country.

The survey results, called simply "The real estate in Italy," were presented at a recent conference in Rome.

How has emerged, in Italy there are about twenty-two million people who own a property, of which more than thirteen over the age of fifty-one years there are no major differences between men and women in any part of the territory, while the half of the owners resides in the North (where, moreover, is home to half of the Italian population).

Property values may change greatly from city to country, from region to region and from North to South The average value of a building is 1,579 Euros per square meter, but it is a statistic not significant, when you consider that in Liguria is reached the peak of 2750 € / sqm.

Everywhere, albeit with different sizes, you can see major differences between the market values of the properties and those attributed to him in cadastre: the average difference is three times higher, but it oscillates between the lowest value of Molise (twice) and the maximum value Trentino Alto Adige (more than four times).

It is therefore no coincidence that it comes with great frequency (though now a purely theoretical) of a deep revision and adaptation of land, whereas land values are determined various taxes, including the ICI.

Another information is particularly interesting: homeowners declare around to hiring 2.8 million, and another million families live in public housing. Yet families who claim to be 4.3 million in rent are: easy to understand, therefore, that at least half a million of the leases is now totally unknown to the tax authorities.
